ABC claims rare ratings victory

With its Wednesday stellar line up, the ABC was the most watched free-to-air television network in Sydney on Wednesday night.



Sporting a line up of The New Inventors, Spicks & Specks, The Chaser’s War on Everything, Summer Heights High and Margaret & David at the Movies, ABC have achieved a rare and bittersweet victory, with the network being the most watched on television in Sydney on Wednesday.

The ABC had a 24.0 percentage share for Sydney, marginally beating out Nine with 23.7 percent, and Seven and Ten; both networks had a 23.4 percent share for Sydney.

The Chaser’s War on Everything was the highest rating program for the network, achieving 1.5 million viewers in the metro market. Spicks & Specks and Summer Heights High were also amongst the ten highest rating programmes for Wednesday.

Overall, Ten marginally won Wednesday night, defeating Channel Nine by less than half a percentage point.
