Justin Berry is a victim of child pornography and abuse. At just 13 he innocently got his first webcam and went online in search of friends. He says he was a lonely teen looking to chat to girls. It was during this time that he was approached online by men to undress for gifts and money and this eventually spiralled into a life of internet porn and drugs.
There is also this story. Justin Berry was very popular according to both his mother and his friends from school. At 13 Justin Berry had his first sexual experience. It was a threesome involving two other guys. One, a school friend of Justin’s, Brian*, who was also 13 and the other a 25 year old friend, Gilo Tunno who had met Berry online. Tunno rented a hotel, the three had sex and Tunno videoed the three of them. We spoke to one of Justin Berry’s friends who claims Berry had manipulated Brian to perform with him, knowing he was gay and in love with him.

Tunno offered to come to Bakersfield and "hang out" with him. Tunno arrived, Berry testified, and they discussed computers. At some point, Tunno gave Berry a $1,500 projector. That same trip, Berry testified, Tunno molested him. Later, Tunno offered Berry money (stated to have been "thousands of dollars" ) to meet in Las Vegas, Nevada. While in Las Vegas Tunno initiated sexual contact with Berry, and later arranged to pay the rent on an apartment used to allow Berry to give further webcam performances outside of his home.
Then there is this story.
According to Justin Berry’s own chat logs with Tunno, he is constantly harassing Tunno in conversations to get him an apartment.
Berry: “dude I need my apartment like yesterday lol” Berry says to Tunno in the chat, “!!!can you get it???”
Tunno: “Im not there”
Berry: “you can do it over the phone, trust me! If I pick out an apartment…will you call them and give them the info?”
Tunno: “what about money? we don’t have too much”
Berry: “we have plenty for an apartment. Ill whore :P”
Tunno: “id like to find a job in Bakersfield, if I have to”
Berry: “why in bakerfield? Dude I cant have you here.”
Tunno: “I understand, but :( "
Berry: “but what? Dude you’re not in love with me, im not in love with you”
Tunno: “I know, but I want to be friends and work together”
Berry: “work together? We have no money to work”
Tunno: “I gave you 15K so far”
Berry: “ yah? so? you still are short 10K dude. that’s a lot of money. once you find that 10K, then let me know, then we can talk”
Berry then goes on to advertise on his AIM account: “im having the hardest time at home right now, I really need my own apartment, if you can help please do so: xxxxx@ureach.com is my paypal address. I’m live on camera!"
According to Justin Berry.
In his FBI statement Justin Berry said that he decided to make up with his estranged father and visit him in Mexico. He was also having a hard time because the video he did when he was 13 with Brian had been given to school friends and he was being harassed and beaten up about it.
Then there is this:
Berry: “I just sold that video of Brian and I for 500 bucks :P ….the idiot didn’t know its going all over the net

that puts me in a better mood”
Justin is told that his chat room had a police officer in it pretending to be a 14 year old boy asking questions about Justin.
Berry: “worst day of my life”
Girl: “wanna talk about it?”
Berry: “not on the internet :(
nor over the phone :(
can you come over?”
Girl: “:(  no, I’m still grounded”
Berry: “I cannot say, its not secure.”
Girl: “ then send me an email.”
Berry: “that’s not secure either
I cannot tell you over the computer
the only (sic) is if you come over

Girl: “justin you are really scaring me, are you safe?”
Berry: “im fine
god that was scary.
So hey I am horny

Girl: “justin I am grounded”
Berry: “when you get off
I haven’t had sex since that one night ;)”
Girl: “you haven’t had sex with me, so what one night are you talking about?”

Justin Berry then starts chatting to Brian.
Berry: “I got an offer for $750 after xmas for the two of us :D cool?”

Justin Berry is warned by a number of his friends that the Feds are watching his website but it didn’t seem to worry him. Says Berry, “What would they do to an underage webwhore?”
Another one of Justin’s friends William Bitzer contacted Justin saying that all his computers had been seized by the police and they had also found information about Justin on it. He had spent two days in jail for talking sexually to who he believed was a 14 year old boy, turns out it was the police. Bitzer had given Berry over $2000 in car parts for his “Hacker Car”.
Berry: “shit”
Bitzer: “long story short, it’s a 3 for 1 trade”
Berry: “ok”
Bitzer: “if I help find and convict three (men who are looking for underage boys) then it’s a wash for me”
Justin then starts copying and pasting names and addresses of his customers onto the chat saying that “he has child pornography”. Berry starts chatting in his chat room to customers to get more names,
Berry: “would you touch me in my private places?”
Customer: “hehe of course”
Berry to Bitzer: “BAM and another one hits the dust, that’s 4 already bro”
Berry asks his customers one by one how old is the youngest guy they have been with sexually, every one that said under 18, Berry gave his name.
Bitzer: “Fuck… maybe we can SELL these names to the cops?$$$$”
Berry: “:D Tell them I will sell them for 1K a piece. I’ve got PLENTY lol”
It’s after this conversation that Berry starts to panic about being arrested by the police for child pornography and leaves for Mexico, almost on the same night.
Berry messages Tunno: “ well I have some AWESOME news. I called my mom last night. IM GOING TO MEXCIO TOMORROW MORNING…I will be safe there. They can’t get a warrant for my arrest.”
Berry flies to Mexico and continues with his father’s help to run his porn sites. At 18 he launches himself as an escort and sets up justinsfriends.com.
He then decides to take down the websites and replace them with Christian messages. Could the police have discovered his new business ventures? Was he under threat of being arrested again? We know that by now the police have known about his websites since he was 16. He already escaped once, was this a rouse to make the police think he had given it up? His sites go dormant.
Then he is contacted by Kurt Eichenwald and this is where the story makes even less sense. According to Berry he has been out of the business for at least six months, yet Eichenwald is somehow able to contact and chat to him from one of his porn sites. Eichenwald sends Berry a $2000 cashiers check from Dallas. Then, inexplicably, Berry travels to Virginia to his ex boyfriend Greg Mitchell and starts up his website again. Tim Richards is brought in at this stage and he and Justin makeover the site and get it operating again. The site clearly states that all models are over 18 years and Berry himself was almost 19. It’s at this time that Berry arranges to do a video of himself masturbating with a 14 year old boy named Taylour for the website, Justin also uploads some videos of himself at 17. Taylour later says in an FBI interview that he was heard that Eichenwald had offered Berry a $500,000 movie deal. He has also spoken with Eichenwald on the phone.
Now remember, he has run away to Mexico because he was scared of being arrested. He was already under investigation for at least two years for child pornography, credit card fraud and insurance fraud. Now he is setting it all back up and making sure there are underage videos on the site. Why?
On June 30, 2005, 11 days after Justin started up his websites, he flies to Los Angeles and meets with Eichenwald. According to Berry, Eichenwald then convinced him to quit the porn industry for ever. Berry agrees.
On July 3, 2005, 4 days later, Justin does another cam show and also pays two guys to put on shows of their own. What about his promise to quit?
July 5, 2005, according to Berry, he phones Eichenwald and says that Greg Mitchell is chasing him because he has decided to quit. Eichenwald flies Berry to Dallas.
Justin Berry has already demonstrated that he was eager to sell the names of his customers and that he would set them up so he could “sting” them. Did he do this again with the knowledge of Eichenwald? Did he cut a deal with the FBI to set up his old websites again so he could sting as many of it’s members as possible? A 1500 for 1 deal. It is the only logical explanation for why an obviously terrified Justin Berry, who was hiding from the FBI in Mexico would fly back to the USA and start up his websites again. Websites he knew he was in real danger of being arrested for. If Justin Berry had set up a legal age gay porn site, there would be no need to investigate the members, nor would there be any story for the New York Times. If, on the other hand, Berry set up the site having earlier planned to get underage videos on the site, then he would have something to bargain with. Did Justin Berry use Greg Mitchell, Tim Richards and all the new members on his website to bargain his way out of jail? How much of this was Eichenwald aware of? Why would he really send Berry a $2000 check, when Berry was no longer working on his websites?
Lot’s of questions. Lot’s of people in jail. Lot’s of stories, according to Justin Berry.
