GenQ - For the not so straight individual

Picture This... hundreds, in some cases, thousands of hopefuls waiting in line, disregarding the elements to try & make their dreams come true. Some bring along friends for support, or even parents for the ones who want to see their kid's faces on television & go " That's my boy up there!". This is the tradition of Australian Idol!

In all, 13 Locations around Australia will be touched by the AI Crew this year such as Townsville, Hobart, Alice Springs & Newcastle, making this year's season known as "The Biggest Talent Search Australia Has Ever Seen!".

Soon, We will see yet another large group of Idol hopefuls embark on a journey to hopefully expose themselves to the Music Industry in order to make their dreams to be a singer come true. Singers such as Shannon Noll, Anthony Callea, Ricki-Lee Coulter & Lee Harding have grabbed our hearts & have successfully achieved music careers. So what does Australian Idol 2006 have in stall this year?

Both the Production Crew & the Judges are looking for outstanding talent to showcase. Executive Producer Greg Bennes, is looking for someone who has a unique style & voice which should also include a presence that will interest the audience but what is most important is to be yourself & not someone or something you aren't!. They want original people this time so Songwriters... Get your arses to auditions! They are expecting you to show them your style of music & they don't just want pop-ish stuff! They are looking anything... Indie, Classical, Operatic, Old School, Rock, absolutely whatever voice you have... they want to see it! PLUS! They are in desperate need of male singers, Guys, seriously... show us your voice & don't think just because you would be looked at funny it shouldn't mean you should try out! You could be lapping it up in the big smoke by the end of the journey & it wont kill you to audition... ITS FREE!!!
