Beverly Hills 90210 Season 2Beverly Hills 90210 Season 2 Out Now on DVD. Beverly Hills 90210 Season 2
Out Now on DVD Paramount Home Entertainment One of the biggest television shows of the nineties come to DVD with a second season complete with all 28 episodes. Beverly Hills 90210 is a show that everybody was hooked on but never admitted it. Now is your chance to own the fun and much loved season 2. I confess that I was a huge fan of 90210, Melrose Place and Models Inc. Everything that Aaron Spelling created in his career appealed to people all over the world for many years. In the second season of Beverly Hills 90210, when the creators knew the show was a success, they took a turn a dramatic turn. The story lines become a lot more serious as they deal with issues such as rape, suicide, stalking and alcoholism. While some of these issues were touched on in the first season, this season really brings them to light in more detail. There are a few new characters introduced to spice things up. I felt that we were given more background into the current characters than what was shown in the first season. As this show was now established it made sense to delve into the history of these spoilt teenagers. Brandon and Brenda Walsh are still struggling to adjust to the Beverly Hills lifestyle. Feeling the pressure from her relationship with Dylan McKay, Brenda must deal with the aftermath of her having sex. This is all too much for her to handle when she thinks that she may be pregnant. In order to protect herself she breaks up with him, but we all know that in no time they are a couple again and creating more drama for themselves and those around them. Brandon also has his fair share of drama this season as well. Emily Valentine a new girl in school quickly catches Brandon’s eye and they start dating, when Emily’s true side is revealed we see that she is very unstable and well as a crazy drug addict. Emily also tricks goodie two shoes Brandon into taking drugs which is the beginning of the end for Emily. While the content is very dramatic and extremely soapie fans will lap this up anyway that they can. This show was very significant for it’s time as it brought attention to issues like drugs, rape, and suicide something that was never done to this degree on a primetime show before. Another huge highlight of season 2 was the introduction to Jake Hansen, opening the door to Beverly Hill’s 90210 spin off Melrose Place. Bring on season 3! Marcus Richa
