Today, Goldenvoice, producers for the annual Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in Indio California announced that this year's festival will move from the traditional 2-day format (Sat-Sun) to a three day (Fri-Sun) format. This marks a large move for the future of the festival making it one of the longest music festivals in North America (second only to the Winter Music Conference).

This year's official festival dates are: Friday April 27, Saturday the 28th, and Sunday the 29th
