Former Vice-Presidential nominee John Edwards enters 08 Presidential RaceJohn Edwards, former VP nominee and North Carolina Senator, announced Thursday that he will run for President in 2008. In 2004, John Edwards made a run for president and later settled for the VP nomination. Thursday he announced he is going for the presidency one more time. After some glitches on his website let the cat out of the bag on Wednesday, Edwards made it official Thursday by appearing on three morning television news shows to let America know that he is entering the race. This time around, Edwards is promising "a grass roots, ground-up campaign where we ask people to take action." Four years ago, Howard Dean was the earlier leader in the last presidential race with the same strategy before loosing steam and dropping out of the race. So far, Hillary Rodham Clinton and Rudy Guiliani have both created committees to explore their options in a 2008 race for the presidency as well.
