'Gay Bash Murderer' napped after the murderWe first told you about this story as it broke, now Charles Winters tells us how court papers say he admitted the murder, then napped afterwards. According to court papers released on Wednesday, one of the suspects in last month's robbery and murder of a gay man in Brooklyn near the Belt Parkway told his friends he might have just murdered a man, then casually dozed off. "Me and Anthony got to the house first," John Fox allegedly told detectives in a written statement last month, two days after he alledgedly robbed and killed 29-year-old Michael Sandy referring to co-defendant Anthony Fortunato. He continued, "Then Alex came in after. We layed on the bed - couch and fell asleep. He said he thought he killed someone before he fell asleep." Alex, know to prosecutors as Ilya Shurov, was the one who beat Sandy then chased him onto the highway where he was struck and killed. Fox's attorney asked people not to jump to conclusions before knowing the circumstances under which the statment was made.
