Generation Q Interviews Mutto!!

Guy Mutton, Rock Star & the 4th contestant eliminated on Australian Idol 2006! Generation got the chance to chat with Mutto the day after his elimination!

When Australian Idol auditions advertised across the country, Guy "Mutto" Mutton's eye's must have immediately shined. As Mutto graced the Idol stage & became one of the Top 12, the public could see why he deserved to be there. But as the competition goes, each week a contestant has to be eliminated & this week Mutto was it. We got to speak to him about his band Soulframe, his hair & of course, Idol!

Hey hey Mutto! Firstly congrats on getting this far in the competition! How has it been having so much attention surrounding you?
I havent been aware of it too much. I have been reliant on family & mates telling me whats going on with the voting & stuff. It's not until you go out into the supermarkets & go out onto the streets that you notice that Austalian Idol has changed our lives. Its an extreme privelege to recieve such "celebrity" status in the community.

Its been reported that you aren't much of a party animal. Is it fact or fiction?
I don't know what its in relation to but it could have been written around the same time as the wildcard round of Idol. It was a huge week that week so maybe it was about that but I can't really answer that.

Was it a shock you got booted off so early in the competition?
It's oe of those things you just prepare for each week. I was more prepared last week than this week but I was shocked. I felt relieved though because I enjoyed Sunday night's performance & I felt I had done a great job while I was on Idol.

What do you think of the feedback the judges gave you while being in Australian Idol?
To be honest I thinkthe judges are put into a certain role & its an extension of who they really are. I mean, Kyle has been pegged as the mean one because he had Dicko's shoes to fill. Ive had some awesome conversations with Mark & I have totaly respect for all of them.

Now one of the biggest questions on everyone's mind is the writing on your hand. What was all behind it?
Pretty much it was a simple word to collectively represent what song I sung & what it stood for. Telling the sotries to the songs I sing is extremely important to me so I made sure I left an impression on the viewers so I could be remembered. ha ha

& the hair? Why don't you think Kyle liked it?
To be honest I have no idea, we never discussed it. Maybe he thought my hair detracted away from my singing or something. You will have to ask him yourself ha ha.

Ha ha. Will try to for sure. So whats next on the cards for Guy Mutton?
Well throughout all of the Idol Experience I think the smartest thing would be to keep the name fresh with people while its there. My band Soulframe have been working hard while ive been away & I hope to do some gigs when Im back & stuff. www.soulframe.com is our official site to find out what we are up to!

That sounds awesome Mutto! Well thankyou so much for spending the time to speak to Generation Q. We wish you the best of luck in the future.

Until next week... Keep voting Guy's!( No pun intended) Keep your favourites in & see them reach the Opera House!

Cheers,
Josef Krausert
