With days to go before the launch of Australian Idol 2006, I thought it would be good to catch up with one of the hosts for a few questions, Andrew G! Although he was located in Los Angeles & it was around 12:30 in the morning Andrew was kind enough to answer some questions for Generation Q!

With Australian Idol starting in a few days, what should we expect to see from the Top 24?Expect to see some of the best singers we have ever seen go through Australian Idol. This group is sure to blow peoples minds & will rock the socks off of their fans.
With the new Boys VS Girls format kicking off this year, Do you think we will see the best from the Top 24 reach the Top 12?
For sure Josef, with different Theme Nights & a suprise in stall for the Australian Idol crew, the humblest of humble & the most talented will be sure enough to reach the Top 12.
If you were in the Top 12, What song would you sing to impress the judges?
There's an easy way to get through with the judges, you have to get in good with Marcia & then you are set! I would sing a Prince song made famous by Sinead O'Connor "Nothing Compares To You". That would make Marcia ball her eyes out.
Lets clean the slate here, For the record, What are the judges really like behind the camera?
TV magnifies the smallest of things for entertainment. They are pretty mcuh like what you see on TV but it isnt as though its the bad way. The 3 of them are really cool to work with.
Who would you consider to be your favourite judges & why?
My all time favourite judge & rest his soul would have to be Bernard King. You wont remember because you arent an old cheese like me but he was one of the grumpiest sorta Judges ever on TV. Ask your parents about "Pot Luck" & they would be able to let you know what Bernard was like.
Who are your Music Idols?
I have so many favourites & there are too many to choose from but some that come to mind are Prince, Stevie Wonder & Malcolm Young from ACDC. Everyone wanted to be like them when I was at school & they are all time music legends too.
What sort of music do you like listening to in your spare time?
I like any sort of music but it needs to be performed with passion. Actually, I dont really like Trance to be honest. Its the sort of music people need to hit their head on a brick wall to understand whats the song is about
What's it like working with James?
James is an awesome fella to work with.He is one of the nicest guy to work with on TV & I'm pretty stoked that I work with him on TV. We learn things from each other everyday in all sorts of ways I guess. VOTE JAMES FOR AUSTRALIAN OF THE YEAR!!!! NOW!!! DO IT!!!
Ha ha. As you can see Andrew was a pleasure to speak to. It goes to show you even the most humblest of guys can still be pretty crazy!!!
