A hit last year on the Nine Network here in Australia, the addictive Hotel Babylon is now available on DVD.  An inside look of how the rich and famous live when staying in a 5 star hotel, Hotel Babylon is pure addictive trash.

We al love a little or a lot of trash TV now and then and if you want to escape for a few hours this is your best bet. The winning point for this show, is that it goes behind the scenes of running a top London hotel and looks into the lives of the staff. No personal secret is safe from one another as the staff is there to outdo and out bitch each other in any way they can.

The two gay characters in this season are Ben and Gino. It is fair to say that these two guys have the most laughs in the series. Their characters are so over the top as you would expect from the world of hospitality. Charlie is the Mr know it all of Hotel Babylon. His guests know that he will attend to their every wish and desire, more than often these include illegal activity.

Running this establishment is the powerful Rebecca. If you get in her way you will get hurt no matter what role that you have in her staff. Rebecca has bigger balls than most of the men and knows the way to push the buttons of those around her. By far she is my favourite of the series so far.

This show is a sure winner and I can’t wait for the next series, which is currently airing in the UK now. The production is of fine quality, as you would expect from the British. The sets are very well done along with the story lines and dialogue that are all fun and campy. A perfect way to spend a weekend, checked in at Hotel Babylon.
