Internet RomanceThe internet can be intimidating, it scares a lot of people, so when I bumped into 27 year old Ethan, I wasn't expecting to fall head over heels for someone I had never laid eyes on before. I'm staring into the sky and reflecting back on how the past two months have evolved from something bad to something good. The internet can be intimidating, it scares a lot of people, so when I bumped into 27 year old Ethan, I wasn't expecting to fall head over heels for someone I had never laid eyes on before. Understanding the full impact of my actions, I went ahead and arranged to meet up with this stranger. My head was saying NO but my heart kept beating YES! I prayed to the Gods above that this net friendship would erupt into something more. I knew there was something there; I just had to break Ethan's shell and proof this to him. He had been fucked over time and again (so had I for that matter). And from what I had gathered so far, he wasn't about to let anyone break his heart so soon again. We would meet with the understanding that there would be no expectations or pressure on both sides. Anything, good or bad, could happen. It was Valentines Day, a beautiful warm and sunny February afternoon. I was nervous as hell. The back of my palms were sweaty as I checked my reflection in the mirror every 5 minutes. We talked then kissed, and by then his barriers had well and truly been knocked down. My whole body turned to jelly as he caressed my body all over. It was a night I will treasure for a long time. Mum doesn't approve, but what it comes down to is that we are two people in love. And when you are in love, people usually will risk anything and everything, if it means being with someone they have intense feelings for. If it doesn't work out, then I'm sure I can add it to 'Paul's Book of Life's Little Lessons: GOOD and BAD'. Â You only live once and we all should take risks from time to time, no matter what the conscience brings. We learn from our mistakes and evidentially, grow stronger, I feel.
