GenQ - For the not so straight individual

So what do I predict with Australian Idol this year? LETS SEE NEW STUFF! I think the whole pop thing has been done to death & Lee Harding has been the beginning of a new concept of AI. I really do hope that we all get to see a new change to a show we all love so much. I think new genres of music would be a great concept to bring in also. I mean... who wouldn't be switched on to see a hunky rock singer! And although I will be switched on to AI this year, I would be even more enthusiastic to watch if someone interesting caught my eye with their personality & voice more so. It would also be a good change of concept to the show if the judges had a bit more power to vote who they think should be in the top 12 so we see more of a versatility in voice & character within the group.

Also, MEN! MEN! MEN! I want to see the male division win this year. It wouldn't be too much to ask if we saw more male singers this year. A large majority of male singers in Australia have awesome voices. They have experience performing & with music but won't come onto Australian Idol because they are more concerned about what their mates will think of them. HELLO!? You are given the opportunity of a lifetime to take an easy road into stardom, work on a career that can eventually set you up in the professional music industry & all you are worried about is how you might be called a woose! Fer god sake don't worry about being picked on & come show myself & the rest of Australia what you have. We will be watching & cheering you on!
