Justin Berry UpdateHi It's Casey, when I spoke to GenerationQ.net readers back in July, I spoke of the corruption in the American Federal Government and my attempts to fight a story based on lies. For those of you who aren't already familiar, I'm speaking of the story of Justin Berry. Editors note: This is a letter sent to us from Tim Richards (aka Casey). Mr Richards has no affiliation with GenerationQ.net or any of it's staff. We agreed to publish this letter in the spirit of fairness and that the other side of this story be able to be told. According to the mainstream press, Justin was lead into a life of crime by 1500 pedophiles working together to seduce children like Justin. And for him the abuse first started at age. The problem with this story though is that it's nothing more than a made-for-TV movie bearing little resemblance to the real story. In this article I will share some of the truth with you. Let me first start by explaining how I met Justin. My first interaction with Justin was back in early 2004. At the time he was reported to be a straight 18 year old man living in Mexico where he ran a website called MexicoFriends.com which was an adult website with primarily videos of Justin with Mexican women. This is how I first learned about him; he approached a good friend of mine, Aaron Brown, about processing credit card payments for his adult site through Aaron's company Neova.net. Like most of Aaron's other clients I became familiar with Justin's website and in time Aaron started cross advertising our websites. I ran several other gay adult sites and visitors to my site may have been interested in Justin's website. From this connection our limited partnership was born.
Now let's fast forward to June 17th 2005. On this day Justin, a guy I hardly knew, approached me for assistance with his new website JustinsFriends.com. Justin had already made all the content and put the site together but was having trouble with some coding on the site. After assisting him for several hours, I proposed a deal to benefit us both. In exchange for 25% of the profits I would be a full time employee and would perform any task Justin required. After he accepted my offer I quickly got to work following his directions for what appeared to be a legal adult website. I had no indication that any of his models were underage. I never met any of Justin's models. I had no access to his 2257 identification records. Because of the competitive nature of this business and the fact that I had sites of my own, I never expect this data would have been made available to me. What I did have was access to the website Justin had created and the bios he included for each of his models. These bios stated that all the models were over 18. I also had access to his modeling application forms that required models to be over 18. I saw nothing in any of the images that I saw that told me these models were underage. But also Justin had been referred to me by a close friend, Aaron Brown, whom I always trusted. He had been providing services to Justin for years and he assured me that to the best of his knowledge there was nothing illegal in what Justin was doing. For these reasons this website did not set off any alarms and appeared just like many other adult sites I had worked for in the past. After getting the site in order, it opened for business on June 19th 2006 and Justin's customers started flowing in. Justin was very active for the first few days telling me what to do and counting his money as the users poured in. With things on a good track I left on a trip for several days. Justin and his business partner continued working on the site by actively updating content and providing live shows. Things appeared to be going great. Justin continued to brag about his success. At one point he even told me that a famous writer had contacted him several weeks earlier and was planning a book and movie deal on Justin's life which would earn him more than $500,000. Justin explained that in order to get some cash he was starting his site up for awhile till his book deal came through. At the time I didn't think much of this comment. After all if someone wanted to do a book on Justin's life that was great. I just never realized it was on his criminal life.
During the July 4th 2005 weekend Justin and his business partner, Greg Mitchel, even flew to California to meet with this famous author Kurt Eichenwald. I wasn't much involved in this part of the story other than hearing it was in their plans. At the time I was actively in real estate school studying to take my realtor's exam. See I was working on completing my goal of getting into an offline business and separating myself from the adult industry. I was so busy with my own future that I only paid limited attention to Justin or his website. In the middle of July I received a phone call from Aaron informing me of a problem with Justin. According to Aaron, Justin and his business partner had gotten into a fight over the distribution of the profits from the site. They had both quit the website leaving it and over 80 customers, who had purchased six month memberships, in the lurch. Aaron asked me if I would mind moving the website to my server and to hire a new model to run the website till the 6 month period was up. I had no problem and accepted the transfer despite my busy schedule. It wouldnt be until much later that I would learn that in this same time period Justin got an immunity deal from the feds absolving him of all responsibility for the illegal content he and put on this site. The next month went by in a blur. I hired a model to run the site so that I could get back to my school work. I finished my course work and passed the realtor exam in late July. This was followed by a trip to Arizona and followed by a seminar for another company I worked for in Florida. It was late August when I finally returned to home where I started working on a move to a new home. During this time I paid little attention to JustinsFriends.com. To me it was just another adult site I was babysitting for awhile. It wasnt till early September that I starting taking notice of the site again. At that time I started receiving death threats warning me to stop doing business with Justin and delete his sites or I would be punished and boy will it hurt. The threats contained no mention of illegal content, they simply demanded that I no longer work with Justins sites. After reading the threat I contacted Justins partner who told me it was likely from an old competitor of Justins and not to worry. I let it go and ignored the threats even though they continued and grew in seriousness during the first week of September. On September 8th the situation changed when I received a phone call saying the FBI was planning to visit my servers in LA where Justins website was located to make a copy of the site. According to my source, they were following up on a report of child pornography. This was the first time I heard those words and quite frankly was shocked. I left the site intact and again contacted Justins partner to inquire about the report. I was told the report was false and that following a previous inquiry I had made, they had obtained IDs for all models on the site, including the main model Taylor who appeared on camera with Justin. I was assured Taylor was over 18 and worked at Justins partners restaurant in Roanoke Virginia where all employees had to be over 18. Assured of the legality of the site, I awaited the FBIs arrival. Several days later the FBI arrived taking the server offline. I quickly obtained the agents name and called to provide assistance and inquire about when the site would go back on line.  I was told the head agent would contact me soon so I continued my move while waiting for the call. I never thought too much of the situation, knowing that false complaints are common among competitors, and after being assured IDs were available if required I figured it would only be a matter of days before the mess was cleared up. A week passed without any return call or word from Justin or his partner. I had started packing my stuff and moving to my new house when one night I was approached by federal agents and to my surprise arrested. In front of a judge I heard all about the plot and Justins story, for the very first time. Apparently everyone was pointing the finger at me to avoid responsibility, but I had no idea about any illegal activities. I was actually assured that everything was legal. See it ends up that although most of the site was legal, one model named Taylor was actually under age 18.
Over the next year I spent every moment behind bars and researching Justins allegations. It wasnt long until some alarming facts came out. However it didnt shock me that Justin would lie, after all he got full immunity and a half million dollars out of the deal. What did shock me is the Federal Governments reaction. Off the record they were well aware of the truth but pushed forward anyway, fearful of Justins connections in the mainstream media. Our own Government was willing to stop at nothing to backup Justin and avoid the negative press they would receive if they didnt cooperate with him. So many of you might want to know what the truth about Justin is. Well it would take way too many pages to explain it all but Ill gladly give GenerationQ.net readers the cliff notes version. Lets start with his immunity agreement. You might not have heard about this on Oprah, but Justin received immunity for many crimes in exchange for turning in his members. Those crimes included child rape, production of child pornography, immigration fraud, credit card fraud, tax evasion for over $500,000, insurance fraud, cocaine trafficking, and more. Justin was never innocent. His crimes extended beyond the computer and he was more than willing to lie and turn in innocent people to get himself off. After all he got away with it once before. Yes, you heard me right. Remember the Oprah show where Justins mom spoke of how she had no idea her son was involved in child pornography? Well the fact is Justin solicited an online officer years previous and got a visit from the police over the incident. In response Justins mom would take the webcam away while she was at work. In response Justin started looking for someone willing to buy him an apartment. See everything youve been presented so far is false. Before this letter only a few people knew the truth. Those people included Justin, the federal Government, the New York Times, and me. Its all there in black and white on Justins computer which is now part of federal evidence. Now lets take a look at more recent history and examine JustinsFriends.com. Justin made this site when he was 18 back in July 2004. Now the first version of the site was actually legal. There were no underage photos of Justin or Taylor on the original site. It simply contained photos of Justins older friends, but that all changed when the New York Times got involved. Im about to expose to you a deep secret that they dont want you to know but the truth must come out somehow. The court system has failed to show the truth so now I must turn to GQs loyal readers to spread the truth. At some point in late May of 2005 Justin was first contacted by Kurt Eichenwald of the New York Times and the plot to frame 1500 innocent men was developed. During the month of June, Justin put his plan into effect. Change JustinsFriends.com from a legal adult site to a child porn website by manipulating young Taylor. On June 9, 2005 the New York Times issued a check to Justin for $2,000. On that same night Taylor was filmed in an erotic video with Justin. At the time Taylor was only 14 although he looked much older. This was his first time performing in child pornography. See, earlier that day Justin had approached Taylor and asked €œwould you ever jack off on camera for money? Taylor was more than willing; he looked up to Justin and enjoyed the idea of making money. Of course Taylor never got paid, all of that New York Times payoff money went right into Justins account. Now you may be wondering if the New York Times knew what the money was being used for, and that is something we may never know. But, according to Taylor, he spoke on the phone to the newspaper reporter Kurt Eichenwald who was pretending to be someone else during that same week.  Luckily for us, Justin was so excited about his new movie deal that he told Taylor the true identity of the mystery man on the phone.  Perhaps the most interesting part of this all is that all these events occurred before the new illegal version of JustinsFriends.com went live on June 19, 2005. So why was the NY Times/Kurt Eichenwald paying Justin? And why was Kurt Eichenwald talking to Taylor, Justin's victim, while Taylor was being victimize? This may sound wildly different from what you saw on Oprah, but its backed up in fact. I have gathered FBI reports, bank statements, IM conversations, and more that back up the real truth about Justin. The Federal Government knows all of this but they dont want the truth to come out. They would rather harass innocent members rather than arrest the real criminal. So what about the members? After all Taylor was only 14, so when they subscribed to his site they were buying child pornography. Well Justin had that covered too. He produced a bio in mid June with Taylor talking about his life. After Taylor left, Justin changed Taylors age to 18 and posted it on the site. With this change the already mature looking young man appeared over 18 just like everyone else on the website. When Justin was asked under oath at a hearing in Michigan €œdid you ever make any statement on any of your pornography sites that the models were over 18? Justin answered €œI didnt need to, I was underage. All my customers knew that I was under 18. Well Mr. Berry I have news for you. In June 2005 you were almost 19 and you did make such a statement, multiple times, and the evidence is on your computer. You lied to me and your members. So far youve gotten away with it but today the truth comes out. Now many have asked about my trial which is the core reason for this letter. Last time I wrote I told GQ readers that the feds planned to add charges and give me 65+ years if I didnt help backup Justins story. I refused and declared a war on the federal Government. I knew when I made this choice it wouldnt be easy. I was fighting the worlds largest superpower, but it was the right thing to do. Just one month before my trial they followed through with their threats and took my 3 charge indictment and changed it to 27 charges, minimizing the mentions of Justin. By the time we made it to trial either the Court or the Government had dropped many of the charges bringing it back to 21 charges. The morning of trial I learned exactly what I was up against. Potential jurors had little problem with the topic of child pornography but when they learned I was gay things got bad. One juror stood up and announced €œall fags should be hung and shot. It was at this point that I knew a fair trial was impossible in Nashville. Regardless I went forward. The next shock came when the Government announced they would not use Justin Berry as a witness. This meant all my prep work was useless. I would not get a chance to face my accuser. We started trying desperately to find Justin, but by that time they had already hidden him. In the end the jury never heard the truth or any of the information about JustinsFriends. I was found guilty on many charges related to his website because I was unable to present any of the stories. It was left to speculation if I knew what age Taylor was. For whatever reason, the jury didnt question the lack of witnesses and evidence and ruled against me. In total I was found guilty of 11 counts and not guilty of another 10. I cant figure out what the jury was thinking, particularly in response to the JustinsFriends website. That is something I am completely not-guilty of and I will defend that to the death but its too late for me now. On the way out of the court room the prosecutor from Washington said €œI cant believe we pulled that off. And for once I find myself in agreement with that prosecutor. They have convicted an innocent man and shifted the blame off Justin. I will now serve no less than 15 years, maybe a life sentence. The next step for me is appeals, but I dont regret my choice to stand up for the truth. They may be more powerful than me but I can look myself in the mirror each night and know I did whats right. My fight doesnt end here and I suggest visiting freecasey.com to keep up-to-date with all the latest and to receive more details on the case. Your friend, Casey
