Law firm's gay friendly past could help their case!GenerationQ first told you yesterday that Aaron Charney was accusing high profile law-firm, Sullivan & Cromwell, with anti-gay discrimination. Find out how their gay friendly past might help their case! This is the second part in a two part series about the gay-bias allegations against Sullivan & Cromwell. Click here to read part one. In a report issued here yesterday at GenerationQ.net, Aaron Charney accuses eight Sullivan & Cromwell lawyers of gay abuse. He says he understand the consequences of taking his case public, but he says that he needs to speak out. Charney however doesn't have all of the big LGBT names behind him to help him win his case. Lambda Legal, the leading legal advocacy legal group, won't take his case. Many believe it is because Lambda won't take "he-said-she-said" cases, but other believe it is because Sullivan & Cromwell has "gay" on it's side.
In this case, their past may speak for them. The firm has never had any such allegations lodged against them. That's not all, a legal recruiter told the New York Observer that Sullivan & Cromwell is considered to be one of the top firms in the world, and it is the last place one might suspect something like this from happening.
Vault.com has also surveyed law firms and found that Sullivan & Cromwell has openly gay partners and associates. Check back Wednesday, January 24th for tips on how to report sexual discrimination in the work place.
