Lesbian foot specialist fired for bondage photos, profanitiesA foot specialist has been struck off a professional register for showing photos of herself with friends in bondage, and for swearing in front of a nun. A woman’s career is in tatters after being struck from a professional register for showing photographs of herself with two other friends in bondage clothing to work colleagues, as well as saying “f*** easter” to a patient who was a nun.
The Health Professions Council has ended Joanne Fuller's registration after the council was presented with a list incidents outlining poor and outrageous behaviour from the podiatrist. Representative for the HPC Julie Norris said during the hearing that Ms Fuller had shown colleagues photographs of herself and loved ones “in various degrees of undress and bondage outfits”, including one of “her girlfriend in leathers with her bottom exposed”, and “often discussed her sex-life in front of other colleagues talking about what her and her partner did when having sex”. An investigation had been pending on Ms Fuller since 2005 for poor record keeping, and was sacked from her position early last year. Ms Fuller, who was not present at the hearing, was charged with behaving inappropriately towards staff members and patients, and was also facing allegations of using the internet excessively during working hours, including viewing inappropriate websites. Christine Mills, disciplinary panel chair member, said that Ms Fuller was not viewing or circulating pornographic material, but was removed from the register due to the “totality” of her behaviour.
