A smart and stylish English film filled with twists, deception and terror. Like Minds tells of two privileged school boys Alex and Nigel who hold dark secrets against each other. These secrets will have dire consequences.

The two boys make a somewhat unlikely pair that eventually become close after almost killing each other from hate at school. Nigel is one twisted kid and Alex is drawn into this world of darkness. Nigel has a taste for cutting up animals and other macabre rituals that are considered just plain sick in mainstream society. Alex can not help but be fascinated by his new friend and his way of life. When Nigel suddenly dies during a bizarre ritual invovling his parents, Alex becomes the prime suspect.

The arresting officer by played by Richard Roxburgh, enlists the help of forensic psychologist Sally Rowe played by Collette. Sally is there to measure the mental state of Alex and what his friendship with Nigel was really about. As Sally gets drawn deeper into his world she uncovers the secret that this film is based on.

The ending was surprising as well as incorporating the many twists and turns that Like Minds offers. Could it be that Alex and Nigel have actually become the same person? The setting of a posh English boarding school is the perfect background for this modern day thriller. The cast is just outstanding with Collette once again proving to be at the top of her game and one of our countries top actresses.
