Linkin Park: What Ive Done

Linkin Park have released their first new single from their new third album "Minutes to Midnight".

LINKIN PARK released "What I've Done" this week as the first single from the band's upcoming third album, "Minutes to Midnight". Band MC and record co-producer Mike Shinoda told Launch that the track is a great representation of the musical progression LINKIN PARK has made on the new CD. "I think it was a great song to pick as a first single because it's very indicative of what's going on in the record," he said. "Like, from the album title to the lyrics on just about every song, there are different takes on what it all means. It's gonna be interesting to see what people think of a song like 'What I've Done', you know, the first time they listen to it, versus the fifth and tenth time, versus the hundredth time, you know, 'cause it's gonna change. There's a lot going on in there."

The video for "What I've Done" went on sale, along with the song itself, at iTunes on Tuesday (April 3). The clip, directed by LINKIN PARK DJ Joseph Hahn, will premiere on MTV and AOL this Thursday (April 5).

"Minutes to Midnight" arrives on May 15. Fans who pre-order the album through iTunes will receive a deluxe digital version featuring bonus tracks.

The band continues to post "webisodes" about its history and the making of the new record at the LPTV channel on YouTube, with the third installment premiering this past Monday.

LINKIN PARK will headline New Jersey's Bamboozle festival on May 6 and will announce details of its 2007 Projekt Revolution tour soon.
