A study has emerged showing that gays and lesbians as well as heterosexuals are in favour of equal workplace benefits.
A study conducted in the United States has revealed that people are more likely to work for corporate business that have equal workplace benefits implemented.
Out of the 2,500+ participants for the survey, 88 percent of gays and lesbians, as well as 70 percent of heterosexuals indicated in responses favourable preferences to those who respect and uphold equal benefits for all employees within a company.
Also featured heavily in the survey was branding, with homosexuals ousting their heterosexual counterparts on consistency levels.
Sixty percent of gay and lesbian respondents specified that they would purchase a specific brand when ordering an alcoholic beverage (as opposed to forty two percent for heterosexuals), as well as fifty eight percent suggested that they would purchase products that are primarily targeted to a primary gay/lesbian audience.
The survey conducted by Harris Interactive was completed towards the end of last month and had 2,571 respondents, 368 of which specified they were gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgender.
