It's the DVD that Mariah fans have been waiting for years to get their hands on: a live in concert DVD of the #1 highest selling female artist of the '90's. Despite having been in the industry for nearly 2 decades, The Adventures Of Mimi is the first full-length concert dvd she has released. In the past, there have been numerous videos and DVD's, such as Around The World, MTV Unplugged, The First Vision and Live At Madison Square Gardens, this is the first time Mariah has released a DVD featuring a full concert from one of her tours (Live At Madison Square Gardens was a special concert, as was MTV Unplugged), and it was well worth the wait!

Mariah (or "Mimi" to her friends and fans) starts off the concert with a short video of a roller-coaster going up it's ramp, and preparing for the first descent: a bit of an analogy for Mariah's life. As Mariah explains, life is a bit like a roller-coaster, full of ups and downs, but you have to enjoy the ride as best you can.

The concert features a lot of her hits (how could you fit them all into a 2 hour concert?), such as It's Like That, Dreamlover, My All, Hero, Vision Of Love, and I'll Be There, where backing vocalist Trey Lorenz steps up to share lead with Mariah. There was one surprise in store for her fans when Mariah welcomed Boyz II Men onto stage to sing their hit duet (or is it quintet?) One Sweet Day, much to the delight of everyone watching and listening.

This DVD also features a behind-the-scenes featurette (so we can see how much of a Diva she really is!), a jukebox feature, and a bonus DVD with a documentary on the tour, karaoke-style feature, and Lovers And Haters, a 15-min spoof film directed by Spike Lee starring Mariah (shock horror). You can also get the Deluxe Edition of The Adventures Of Mimi which also includes a special edition slipcase with slightly different artwork.

For the Mariah fans out there, this is definitely a must-have for your collection!
