Paris, Je T'aime

Madman Entertainment

Now on DVD

A beautiful collection of  short films that all have one thing in common, showcasing the beauty of Paris, France. A group of acclaimed directors have all come together to create this film, with a touching and heartwarming result.

There are 18 short films shown here. Each one was shot in a different location of Paris with the theme of love in each one. They take place at all hours of the day along with all very different people. The mixture is so diverse that no single film was the same in anyway.

Many well known actors have contributed to this film. Gena Rowlands, Natalie Portman, William Dafoe, Elijah Wood and Nick Nolte just to name a few. With such a strong group of acting experience this film will not let you down. The cast along with the beautiful city of Paris as the backdrop gives the audience high but rewarding expectations.

The theme of love comes across in each film on an entirely different level than the one before. Straight, gay and just plain unusual love is explored here. The themes of interracial love both young and old come out of this collection. My personal favorite was the last film in the group titled 14th Arrondissement.

This is a sweet and touching look of an older woman who is taking her big vacation to Paris. Her French is terrible but she has to be commended for trying to blend in with the locals. She sees Paris in a sweet and somewhat naive way. As she looks back on her life she thinks of the good and bad that she has had to endure without a partner in her life.

Paris, Je T'aime is a beautiful and emotional look at the romantic city that is Paris. You will come out of this film with a feel good attitude about yourself and the life that you are living.
