Razzle DazzleRazzle Dazzle on DVD Razzle Dazzle
Out Now on DVD Sony Home Entertainment This very funny Australian documentary style film tells of a local dance pageant that will have you in stitches. The “friendly” competition between the mothers and the daughters will have you not believing your eyes. Razzle Dazzle is a gem that will make you smile, laugh and pray that you don’t have parents like these. Even though this film is themed like a documentary, you will have no trouble grasping what this film is trying to offer. In the suburbs, who would have thought there would be so many dance school competitions for both students and parents alike? These parents want nothing more than for their little darlings to win and be the best and will push them to any extreme possible. Actress Kerry Armstrong gives a fine performance as a mother not wanting to accept that her baby is second best in anything, especially a dance competition. Her forceful ways and tactics in getting everybody around to notice her and her daughter are somewhat scary. This woman is beyond realistic in everything that she does. Mr Jonathon is a class act himself. Running one of the most prestigious (or so he thinks) dance academies in Australia has gone to his head. Like the mothers of the kids that attend his school, he demands perfection all the time. As the big competition approaches each day Mr Jonathan becomes more and more frantic, this only adds extra humour to the film. Great for a Sunday afternoon film with friends. Marcus Richa
