Sopranos, Prime Suspect amongst Emmy winners

The Sopranos and Prime Suspect: The Final Act have won three Emmys at the 59th Primetime Emmy Awards.



Television show The Sopranos and tele-movie Prime Suspect: The Final Act have both won three Emmys at the 59th Primetime Emmy Awards, held on Sunday 16 September at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles.

The Sopranos took home Outstanding Drama Series, while lead actress of the final Prime Suspect film Helen Mirren was awarded with Outstanding Lead Actress in a mini-series or movie.

Other big winners included Broken Trail and Ugly Betty, both of which won multiple awards, while Judy Davis was Australia's sole winner, taking home Outstanding Supporting Actress In A Miniseries Or A Movie for her role in The Starter Wife.

American Idol host Ryan Seacrest hosted the awards, in front of a predicted television audience of more than 15 million US viewers.
