Spooks Season 4

Shock DVD

Spooks is a prime example of quality television that is coming out of Britain today. This MI5 spy drama just gets stronger and more intense as each series is made. Fans of 24 and Sleeper Cell will appreciate the quality as well as the difference between American and UK styles.

There are ten episodes in this series. Kicking of series four is a hard hitting two part episode, focusing on a terrorist bombing attack in London. This happens just as the team are attending the funeral of popular character Danny from previous seasons. The team have a mission to find out who planned the bombings and most of all stop them.

We soon find out there are several bombs planet around London. One of them is in a hospital which requires a password to disable the bomb. Fan favourites Adam and Tash are caught up in a gripping race to the end as they battle to survive and save those around them. After a very strong first 2 episodes, I was curious to see if the rest of the season would be as good. I was not disappointed at all.

The Character development is somewhat strong considering there is so much action going on all at once. I felt as though this was clear and the storylines helped to cement this. Without a doubt my favourite characters this season would have to be Tash played by former UK soapie singing star Martine McMcutchon. Next is Ros Myers played by Cold Feet actor Hermione Norris. These two powerful females show they are just as good as the men in every aspect of their jobs and private lives.

Shot on location in and around London and various parts of Britain, Spooks is an authentic British show that will have you thinking you are actually there. From the highest levels of government, to country ambassadors and everything in between. Spook’s is a brilliant show in every way.
