That Time of The Month - July '07A run down of the month that was July on generationq.net. Check out the important stuff you might have missed! Hey GenerationQ’ers,  Thanks for indulging me during ‘That Time of the Month’. Fortunately July was a much more positive month than that of June, and hence it’s a much lighter run down!  July saw more new and improved aspects on GenerationQ, including a Love and Dating section. There are already many interesting articles published in this section, including this one: http://www.generationq.net/articles/10-signs-you-are-dating-a-Drama-Queen-00001.html. A popular section with the other regional sites, check out Love and Dating to see what all the fuss is about (http://www.generationq.net/sections/Australia-Love-and-Dating.html). The news section was again there for you as all the Local, National and International news broke. Our report on Get Up!, an organization which allows every Australian the opportunity to become involved with political issues pertaining to equal rights of homosexuals was a positive step for the future (http://www.generationq.net/articles/Equality-petition-gets-25000-signatures-00001.html) We also reported on a new study stating that there has been a significant rise in the incidence of HIV in (http://www.generationq.net/articles/Aussie-Gays-Risk-HIV-00001.html). On a similar note, GenerationQ.net is looking for survivors of the late 1980's and early 90's AIDS crisis to tell their stories. See this link if you would like to take part: http://www.generationq.net/articles/The-Lost-Boys--Survivors-of-the-80s-AIDS-Holocaust-00001.html. In a shocking piece of news, Michael Glatze, outspoken gay right activist, turned his back on the youth he once saved and now says they are all sick. Read his letter here: http://www.generationq.net/articles/Young-Gay-America-Turns-Straight-00001.html. And another shock to the system, the announcement of Steve Bracks’ resignation was seen first, on GenQ (http://www.generationq.net/articles/Steve-Bracks-resigns-as-Victorian-premier-00001.html). Followed by John Thwaites, last Friday was a very unpredictable day for Victorians in particular! The Entertainment section on GenQ in July went from strength to strength. Not only did we have more reviews and information on the latest releases, we covered Live Earth, the nail biting Big Brother finale (in which Zach ended up coming second by 65 votes), the highly controversial Christina Aguilera concert was reviewed (http://www.generationq.net/articles/Christina-Aguilera-Does-Melbourne-00001.html) and we have now set up an Australian Idol team, ‘The Idolisers’ who are causing a stir in the forum already (http://www.generationq.net/articles/Australian-Idol-Idolisers-00001.html). Rounding out content for July was movement in the Opinion section. Not only was there a response written to the Michael Glatze letter by our own
Lastly but not least, check out what you are in for this month, here: http://www.generationq.net/articles/August-2007-on-GenerationQ-00001.html Till next time peoples, don’t do anything I wouldn’t do! Signing off, Your Regional Producer, Natalie Kalow
