The Big Brother world first twist - MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS

After months of speculation about the Big Brother world first twist of 2006, Little Brother reveals his theory based on what he already knows. Please be warned, if you wish to keep it as a surprise for Launch Night, DO NOT continue.

Over the years, Big Brother has unveiled some great twists! Before I reveal this years world first twist, let's first take a trip in the BB time machine:

SERIES ONE

With the public not knowing what to expect, it was pretty basic when Big Brother first started his mind games. The introduction of the intruders shocked the housemates as Anita was voted to stay in the house. Gretel entered the house in the ?MasterCard Challenge? and the second bedroom was converted into a haunted house. The housemates also welcomed a dog for a short stay in the house (yes, can you believe that was a twist!). The final four housemates woke one morning with a chistmas tree and presents from their loved ones. It is also interesting to note that housemates were not required to give a reason when nominating for eviction. Something which is now one of the main principles of the game.

SERIES TWO

Not wanting to comfort the housemates, Big Brother launched the series with only a partly completed house and no beds. The worlds first double eviction took place, booting out Nathan and Alex within 30 minutes of each other. Also, Big Brother nominated all housemates for a one single eviction, another world first. This years housemates were also treated to the 'MasterCard Challenge' and an early christmas. A secret room was also revealed to celebrate the birthday party of Jess. The band Killing Heidi then performed in the Big Brother backyard. When runner-up Marty left the house for the studio eviction stage, winner Peter was reunited with his little brother who entered the house.

SERIES THREE

Big Brother staggered the housemates entering the house by telling them on launch night to ?get back into the car?. Housemates were then separated into 2 different houses ? the ?Circle? house and the ?Square? house. Big Brother then exchanged two housemates from each house. The camera run wall which separated the the 2 houses was knocked down a few weeks later to reveal a swimming pool, kitchen & bathroom. Belinda was the first housemate in the history of Australian BB to quit the program and leave the house without an eviction. Big Brother UK housemate Annoushka flew over and entered our house briefly.

SERIES FOUR

The Million Dollar prize money secret is revealed by Big Brother as he promises a ?back-to-basics? format. However the prize money was kept hidden from the housemates until later in the series. After their first night in the house, Big Brothers orders the housemates to pack their things immediately and go outside to the garden. They are then locked outside for days. UK reality show personality ?Miriam? enters the Australian house to shock the boys. Big Brother also issued a severe storm warning and the housemates were told to remain inside their bedroom, then sound effects and virbations were used to trick the housemates to think there was a real storm. In the morning they woke up to a backyard covered in real snow. However, it was Big Brothers unplanned twists that made the headlines this year. Merlin boycotted his own eviction by refusing to speak with Gretel on stage. His mouth was taped shut holding the infamous sign ?Free Th(e) Refugees?. Then Bree was evicted incorrectly from the house, due to a miscount of votes. She was quickly put back into the house and the correct housemate Wesley exited. The 2 final housemates were taken from the house prior to the announcement of the winner on the final eviction night. The eventual winner Trevor, proposed to his girlfriend live on stage.

SERIES FIVE

Two identical twins were planted into the house as ?Imposters? working for Big Brother. However, they swapped with each other in the house creating the illusion of one person. While one twin was in the house, the other twin lived in a special isolation room, waiting for Big Brothers command to swap. This season housemates were reprimanded with penalty fines of $5,000 which were deducted from the total $1 million prize money. Big Brother learned of three housemates that had lied during the application process and as a result, automatically nominated them for eviction. A secret door outside revealed the new ?Friday Night Games? arena and with it came the rewards room. The weekly winner had the power of the ?3 Point Twist? which could be deducted from one nominated housemate, potentially withdrawing a person from the public vote. Later, the housemates had to evict one of the twins and also select an intruder to live in the house. One eviction night, Big Brother sent the three nominated housemates into a special room and evicted one in private. UK Big Brother 5 winner Nadia was a special guest for the final three housemates. During the series a mysterious picture of a blurred audience covered one of the walls in the garden. In the final eviction, this turned into a massive screen and watched their own eviction unravel on TV. They also watched a special news bulletin hosted by Sandra Sully, an overview of events that happened in the outside world while they were in the house. In the end, the ?Imposters? took the prize.

So that just leaves this years big twist for me to reveal?

After the first 24 hours of the housemates entering the house, Big Brother will reveal The Others. It is confirmed that these people will hide the same secret from their fellow housemates.

The role that they play in this house remains a mystery at this stage, however it is believed that they will form strategies and alliances with the other housemates. In essence, it's what Big Brother is all about, a secret society governed by a single supreme being.

Speculation builds on how and when The Others will enter the house. Will The Others enter the house on launch night disguised as housemates to blend in? Or will they be banished to live in secrecy in a special area of the house? What secret do they all share? are they related or romantically linked? What does it have to do with the birds and bees in the teaser trailers? And what is their mission? Little Brother will get back to you?

With days until Big Brother finally begins, here's Little Brother's countdown checklist:
