A fantastic cast has been assembled here, starring Cameron Diaz, Jack Black, Jude Law and the gorgeous Kate Winslet. The Holiday is a sweet and uplifting film that shows even in the darkest of times people can still find happiness and love from those around them.

On two different sides of the world two women are having the exact same problem at the same time. Men who claim to care about them have hurt them both. To overcome this heartache and with the help of the Internet, two women decide to swap lives.

Amanda and Iris have nothing in common whatsoever; this is what creates the premise of the story. While in the UK Amanda meets the sweet brother of Iris played by Jude Law. He has just overcome the death of his wife and has two beautiful children that he is raising alone. The issue of getting over heartbreak and learning to love again comes full circle as we feel a connection to these characters.

Sparks begin to fly on both sides of the ocean when Iris also meets Miles played by Jack Black. Normally not a fan of Black, I found him to be sweet and funny in this role. The chemistry between all the actors came across well on screen. This was evident by a funny script and heart-warming locations that this was film were set amongst.

The Holiday is a feel good romantic comedy, and this film will leave you feeling all warm and fuzzy inside. Make sure that you have a box of tissues handy when watching The Holiday. You will laugh and you will cry. Overall a great film that will leave you wanting more. Also look out for cameos from Lindsay Lohan and James Franco.
