Who would have thought that so much fun could happen in a library? Welcome to the goings on at The Middleton Interactive Learning Centre. The obsessive and controlling Frances O’Brien runs the learning centre like an army camp. Her world is suddenly turned upside down when an old friend from the past turns up.

We soon find out that Christine has a criminal past (and present) and is on the run from the law. Frances feels compelled to help her and gives her a job as the children’s librarian. With the biggest event in her calendar approaching Book Week, Frances must keep it together and not let her religious beliefs and old feelings get in the way of her job.

The series travels along at a good pace and more secrets and past agendas are revealed between Francis and Christine. Will Francis finally crack and risk all that she has worked hard for? Or will Christine have the upper hand and get revenge on Francis after all these years?

The Librarians is one of the funniest shows on television at the moment. It is smart, witty and caters to the many stereotypes found in society today. This little gem will pleasantly surprise you.
