Van Diemen(pronounced Van Deemen) -Clint and Robbie Elliott from Sydney, Australia.

What's it like working with your twin bro in a band?
Clint says: It's good I think.. Though Robbie hits bung notes and blames me, cause our voices our very similar he sometimes makes me think i might have! (Of course my singing is usually bung note free)
Robbie says: It's great! In a band you want to kill each other- but you're also best friends, Clinton has been my friend since before I could even choose my friends !
Who does what? Or do you share talents?
Clint says: Robbie writes the songs and sings the lead lines, I harmonise with him and play the keyboard, so we share, i also tinker with lyrics so they make more sense.
Robbie says: I play guitar and clint plays the keys, we share the singing. Luke Plays bass and Jamon bangs Drums.
What would be your brother's biggest strength in the band?
Clint says: Writing great songs, coming up with amazing guitar parts and giving me advice on keyboard lines.
Robbie says: Definately his harmonies and soundscapes... and his amazing hair and good looks!
Do you co-write songs?
Clint says: Not yet, though I have written some songs before. I'm hoping to collaborate more with Rob once we've been picked up by a major, then start writing my own songs for the band. Our song writing style is very different and it would be good to showcase that once my songs are at the right standard.
Robbie says: I write the songs and Clint enhances them.
What's your favourite song that you have written?
Clint says: I haven't written any Van Diemen songs really, Alone was a concept I had but Robbie stole it!
I like his song 'Glad'. I like to listen to it when we're having 'creative differences'. I imagine the song is about me. It's a very 'family-love' song and I love singing it with him.
Robbie says:There is so many and I love them all in diffrent ways. Some are great for dancing, some are good drinking songs, some make you just chill and some are really moving - it's so hard to choose - probably the one that I haven't written yet!
What inspires you?
Clint says: Our mum is wonder woman, she's brought us up to be really independant and motivated about our lives/careers. She's helped us become confident and really comfortable with ourselves as people.
Robbie says:My experience of life inspires me.
Who influences you?
Clint says: Music wise the Beatles are excellent. I also like Imogen Heap, she wrote a song for The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe which is fantastic! I'd love to write a song for a fantistical movie.
Robbie says:Musically I don't know, lots of it is sub concious things. I don't set out to do anything in particular -I just write! Currently however, Clint has influenced me to make the move to Sydney.
What has been your most exciting gig?
Clint says: We played a council gig for Kites, that was exciting with kites zipping around everywhere! It was quite windy too. The grandparents and grankids loved us and were sitting/dancing right in front of us.. It was like a wiggles concert!
Robbie says:It was probably the time we played in Deloraine, It was an experiment to see if we were any good. Four wonderfully dressed guys, a huge PA and a Barn full of country bumpkins. By the end of it everyone was dancing!

What annoying habit does your brother have?
Clint says: He's flawless.. Naa actually he rubs his feet together to get cosy in bed (a solid 10 mins of toenails scraping against sheets) which is terribly annoying if we share a room after a gig.
Robbie says: Clint picks his nose and eats it. except when he is full- then he flicks it at me!
