UKTV January 2007 HighlightsKick off the new year with UKTV in 2007! UKTV January 2007 Highlights
www.uktv.com.au Kicking off the new year, our friends at UKTV have a brilliant line up of new and old favourites to please every taste. From crime to comedy every genre is covered this month on UKTV. Season 3 of the extremely popular Spooks begins on January 7th at 9.30pm. This British spy drama just gets better with each season. The complex characters and always thrilling storylines makes this fast paced series a must. Think Alias but with a British take. A dynamic cast and great writing make this a UKTV winner for 2007. The first season of The Office starts Monday January 18th at 8.30pm. Most fans would have probably seen this show already but it is always good to take a look back where it all began. The Office stars Ricky Gervais and Martin Freeman. Also starring Martin Freeman is a new comedy series called Hardware. This is being shown for the first time on Australian TV. Set in a hardware store, this very funny day-to-day running of the store and their staff who know almost nothing about what they sell. Hardware starts Monday January 15th at 10pm. Series five of Two Pints of Lager kicks of on January 15th just before Hardware. Set in a local pub the colourful and somewhat wacky characters have been welcomed into many homes across the UK. The success of this show has been enough to create possibly the strongest series yet, series five. This will leave all those American sitcoms to shame. No Angels series 3 begins Wednesday January 17th at 9.30pm. I have been a fan of the past two and was disappointed to learn that this is the final series of the show. Set in a busy hospital it is a close look at the lives of four nurses that all live together. Throw in sex, drugs and anything with a pulse and you will get the idea. These naughty nurses know how to relax after a hard day at the hospital. A new reality show called Are You Tough Enough? premiers on Tuesday January 16th at 9.30pm. This tough show takes on 29 volunteers as we see if they have the guts and the strength to survive initiation into the SAS. The ten days of intense training will no doubt break and hurt the group in a way that they never thought possible. Not for the faint hearted, give this show a peek. Generation Q will bring you the best that UKTV has to offer each month during 2007. Marcus Richa
