Wind In The WillowsThe Wind In The Willows show has returned to the Melbourne Botanical Gardens. Mischief, mayhem and loads of fun are the order of the day at the Royal Botanic Gardens this summer when Ratty, Toad, Badger, Mole, Otter and all of their friends bring to life Kenneth Grahame's classic tale The Wind in the Willows. Originally adapted and directed by Glenn Elston, The Wind in the Willows has become an annual family favourite throughout Australia. Over the years an audience of tens of thousands have delighted in the simple pleasures of this rollicking production. The endearing characters of Ratty, Mole, Badger, Otter, Portly and the untamable Mr. Toad bring to life their riverbank adventures, enchanting audience members of all ages. On arrival, the audience are transformed into Rabbits so they can join the adventure and meet the other animals. They are led by the Head Chief Rabbit who guides them throughout the journey. The production has many opportunities for the audience to participate, such as the search for the lost little Portly, singing and dancing the Duck's Ditty, and learning the "Whispering Willows" song. The promenade style of the production combined with the beautiful setting and engaging characters, music and songs makes The Wind in the Willows a wonderful event for the whole family.
