So what exactly does "myspace celebrity" mean? Forget about Corey we have another Z-Grade celebrity coming up the mountain...
I was excited about tonight, until I saw Kyle's frown again. Are we going to see this all series? Hope not, it's making Jackie O look bad.
But earlier - we start off with the Daily Show, or should I say "Nobbi-and-Rory-show". Enough screen time of these two boys Big Brother, enough is enough. Tonight the kitchen is revealed - I say put the wall back up and leave them with "Miles the Dog Buttler".
As a viewing public it is far more entertaining to see plates smashing on the ground after falling off the conveyor belt, rather than seeing a bunch of chicks fighting over cooking in the new kitchen.
And was the kitchen meant to be an earth shattering twist? I don't think so. Waste of time - revealing a hidden kitchen is very BB03.
We also hear the dissapointing news that Rima has broken her leg and will not be returning to the Big Brother house for now. It's not turning out as a very good start to the series for Big Brother.
Two of its flagship housemates (of the 5 previewed to the public leading up to the Launch Night) are out of the house - but more on Terri later.
The Daily Show frits away, and before we know it - it's Gatecrashers time. We are introduced to the "webmates". And whoever thought of that little name should be sacked.
So the "webmates", hrmmmm:
Barney - I remember watching his video online, iand seeing him on myspace. He had videos of his modelling gigs overseas featured on his page, and basically that screamed HIMBO. So as it turns out, he is the third most popular webmate. He mentions being scared of growing old, which confuses me because he is already old. Well he looks it.
The "token" lifesaver thing sure is sexy, and he has a hot chest - but if he was that worried about the "old" tag he should have used anti-aging cream. Oh and a haircut. It's nasty, I can't believe he reckons he looks hot. Yawn. Get evicted already.
Nathan - A BB06/07 style housemate, already forgotten about. Sorry, honest but true.
Michael - So "myspace famous" hey? God, that website and that phrase is SO 2006. Mika bashed the term "myspace celebrity" to death, and since then most of us have turned to Facebook (and no longer accept just ANYONE as friends). Strange how he did not get an interview on the stage with Kyle & Jackie O - instead just going straight into the house. Whatever.
So after the webmates, we are finally introduced to Corey Worthington. Looking incredibly nervous he enters the stage - facing a menacing "boo-ing" from the crowd. Something not seen since Merlin and his little showstopper back in 2004.
I am actually really looking forward to seeing more of Corey. He really does seem so young, and I am eager to learn more about him. Liking the blonde hair more I must say.
So Terri is back and enters the Big Brother to carry out her mission. Some mission. To be Cory's guardian. I was expecting something really controversial. Or a real challenge for her. But instead you could see her licking her lips in anticipation. Oh well.
And it all ends tonight with the new evicting system. The public votes to save, rather than evict, then the housemates evict one of the bottom three. Which is a complete contrast to the first season. So in 8 years, we went from voting to evict, to both evict and save, then now to save. So hyperthetically, the results from 2001 would be very different using todays method. Is that right?
After the show, I continued watching online. Saxon seems to latch onto Corey by showing him around the house, while the girls stand off the side quite reluctant to this new party boy addition. A few technical problems with the live feed tonight, did anyone else see the Sony DVD player logo being fed to everyone online? Loading, Eject, Menu. Hrrmmm. Damn that loop DVD whenever the feed is cut.
At the minute, the housemates are locked out of the bedroom - rumour has it, a second bed, and a wall revealing a second part of the bedroom (ala BB06) is being removed.
