Elwood Clothing turns to Melbourne party boy
You wouldn't need a science degree to work out that Corey Worthington (Delaney) is being sponsored by Elwood Clothing in the Big Brother house.
Since entering the house last Sunday as a "gatercrasher", Corey has been filmed continously in the Big Brother house 24/7 wearing his wardrobe of various Elwood Clothing items.
Using Corey as an advertising medium would be consided risky by many - is Corey able to sell merchandise?
So Elwood's intention remains a mystery... Corey may well to do Elwood what Daniella Westbrook did for Burberry in the UK.
Like it or not, this is the reality: they are excluding a substantial amount of Corey-haters.
As a brand, Corey-haters will now equate to Elwood-haters. So will the classic Elwood tee join the infamous ranks of the yellow sunnies and fur-lined hoodie jacket? The brand will either appreciate or depreciate in value as a result.
So what's the deal? Garments with clear printed brand names have NEVER been allowed to be worn by ANY housemates in the Big Brother house EVER. Not even it's celebrity guests.
Although there have been a few near-misses with fashion copywriting in the past....
The "original" Saxon from BB03 snuck in a t-shirt that had on it "One Fine Day". As it turned out, he was wearing it for a mate who was associated with the Australian film "One Fine Day".
Elwood Clothing orginated in 1996 by a group of people in a loft in San Diego. Twelve years later they now distribute it's highly succesful street fashion lines around the world.
