Borat star Sacha Baron Cohen has been involved in a ‘gay prank’ involving cage fighters kissing and ‘rubbing’ each other.
A prank has left audiences in Arkansas and Texas outraged after they endured two actors portraying wrestlers stripping down to their underwear, kissing each other and ‘rubbing one another’ on false pretences.
The stunt, which is thought to have been started by Sacha Baron Cohen, lured 1600 audience goers into an evening thought to be $1 beer and hardcore wrestling, only to see the prank unravel directly in front of them with cameras filming their reactions.
Cohen’s involvement in the prank has not been confirmed by his Los Angeles based publicist Matt Labov.
Local police had been informed prior to the stunt that a skit involving a man named ‘Straight Dave’ would challenge a planted audience member in a wrestling match.
Cohen is set to return to the big screen next year as Bruno, posing as a gay character regularly seen on Da Ali G Show. The full title of the film was thought to be Bruno: Delicious Journeys Through America for the Purpose of Making Heterosexual Males Visibly Uncomfortable in the Presence of a Gay Foreigner; reports indicate that this is a fake title.
