After the sudden death of fifty-year old Bernie Mac was announced over the weekend, co-stars have paid tribute to the actor, including Brad Pitt and George Clooney, both of whom worked with Mac on the Ocean’s Eleven trilogy.
“The world just got a little less funny. He will be dearly missed,” Clooney said.
Pitt said “I lament the loss of a ferociously funny and hardcore family man. My thoughts are with [Mac's wife] Rhonda and their family. Bernie Mac, you are missed.”
Fellow co-star of the Ocean’s trilogy Don Cheadle added “This is a very sad day for many of us who knew and loved Bernie. He brought so much joy to so many. He will be missed but heaven just got funnier.”
Mac was admitted to hospital on the 1 August with pneumonia, but was expected to make a full recovery.
It is believed that the fifty-year old actor died due to complications from pneumonia.
