Best known for his work in Eating Out 2 actor Brett Chukerman is now starring in the sweet film The Curiosity of Chance now available on DVD from Force Queer. GenQ had the chance to talk to Brett about his new role as the adorable Levi Sparks.

The Curiosity of Chance was shot in the picturesque country of Belgium. Brett landed the role after the producer and director had seen a tape of his work. “I read the script, created a character and was on a plane for Belgium about 2 weeks later, It happened so fast” Brett says.

On filming Brett says, “We shot for five weeks in Belgium, shooting in various locations in and outside of Antwerp.  It was a beautiful, cool city and a great place to make a movie”.

On his role as Levi the loveable jock in the film, I asked if Brett was a loveable jock in high school. “ I was a weird theatre kid, but the soft spoken nice jock was never seen in high school, it was fun to play a role that broke the stereotype of the typical jock”.

The final scene of the film is open to so many interpretations by the audience; this is what Brett had to say on this scene. “I love that Russell (the writer/director) chose to leave that moment ambiguous so that people would ask that question.  From Levi’s perspective, it’s definitely a fantasy – but I like knowing that each audience member gets to make up their own mind about what actually happened”.

I asked Brett how he keeps himself looking so dam hot; he says ‘Lots and lots of exercise.  I spend more time lifting weights and running than I should, but it’s always a good outlet after a frustrating day”. You have to keep focus on your goals and keep a healthy balance and keep focused and positive”.

Brett has two new films that he just completed one called King Bong about a bong that kills people. His next film is called The Fall of Hyperion. “This is about a satellite station that falls to the earth creating problems. “I got to do my first stunt work ever so it was a great challenge to do”.

Growing up in Chicago I did a lot of theatre and that is how I became an actor. I was very lucky to start early on and study in Paris and theatre at Oxford in England.

On his travels Australia is high on his list to visit and he hopes that one day he will come to Sydney. “I love to travel and I can sleep on the plane”.

Brett is a massive TV fan and loves The Office and 30 Rock. “Alec Baldwin is an amazing actor”.

GenQ Thanks Brett Chukerman for his time and wishes him all the best.
