Samantha Ronson has announced her engagement to Lindsay Lohan, confirming all relationship and marriage rumours. The Lesbian DJ has told a nightclub crowd she will marry actress and lesbian lover Lindsay Lohan in less than three months.

Sam reportedly got up from her mixing desk at a top Los Angeles hotel and night club, Chateau Marmont, and declared over the mic to clubbers:

"By the end of this year, my love will be Mrs Ronson! Tonight shows the power of a woman - to underestimate that is to underestimate the world."

Lindsay, 22, has made no secret of her love for Samantha , sister of music producer Mark Ronson, but had not yet officially confirmed the two were an item. In recent weeks however, Lohan has dedicated Ray LaMontagne's touching ballad Trouble to her on her blog.

The romantic track includes the following  lyrics: "She gave me love and affection/I said I love her/She's good to me" and "I've been saved by a woman/She won't let me go/She won't let me go now."

Lindsay and Samantha first sparked rumours they were dating earlier this year, and in May the ‘Mean Girls’ actress referred to the DJ as "my husband" at the Cannes Film Festival, joking that  the couple wanted to have a partnership ceremony at Dolly Parton's Dollywood theme park.

She has also been talking up her relationship with mention of their matching tattoos.  Lindsay told Marie Claire: “Samantha had some stars so I had some done as well.

“I am very happy. She is a fantastic person who has a great influence on everyone around her.”

Whether this engagement announcement is yet another of the couple's jokes about their relationship is yet to be seen.
