Alan Ball is an Academy Award-winning screenwriter, director, producer & occasional actor, who is best known for writing the screenplay for the Oscar-winning film "American Beauty" & for creating the HBO original drama series "Six Feet Under." He is also openly gay & a strong voice for our LGBT community.
"True Blood" is a new TV series based on the "Southern Vampire Mysteries" books by Charlaine Harris & adapted for television by Alan. The series is produced by HBO in association with Ball's production company. The show details the fictional co-existence of vampires & humans in a small Louisiana town after Japanese made synthetic blood "TruBlood" becomes available for purchase.
Anna Paquin stars as Sookie Stackhouse, a telepathic waitress @ a diner who falls in love with one of the vampires, Bill Compton portrayed by Stephen Moyer. The show premieres Tonight, Sept. 7th @ 9PM EST on HBO.... For more info and the trailer, click here
