Cashback
Stars: Ben Willis, Michelle Ryan
Madman Entertainment
This film is a unique one, which will draw you in from the opening scenes. This romantic comedy with a twist will have you wanting more once the credits role. Cash back has it all drama, romance, comedy and the ability to make you feel good and cherish life.
Loveable and cute dork Ben Willis is having a tough time. He has just broken up with his long term girlfriend and is at a loose end in his young life. The trauma of the break up means that Ben is unable to sleep, and he spends his nights working at a local supermarket.
In his darkest hour we the audience get an inside look of what is happening in Ben’s mind. The people that he works with and his friends all take on a new meaning as to what Ben wants them to be. This is his way of coping and through his grief he is able to see the beauty of life and what he can still achieve.
I hope that this film gets the appreciation that it deserves here in Australia. Look out for up and coming actor Sean Biggerstaff as I expect big things from him in the future. Michelle Ryan who plays Suzy in the film, will be seen in new Bionic Woman Television series.
