What happens when a real human is raised by elves and believes that he is one himself?  Saturday night live funny man Will Ferrell stars as Buddy, a grown man with a big heart. Wanting to leave the North Pole where he is failing as a toy maker he heads to New York to find his long lost father. What follows then is a very funny story that will entertain you and make you smile.

The sets and colours used for this film are pretty incredible. They North Pole sets look brilliant on Blu Ray, this is evident by the scale and effects shown on screen.

Location shooting in NYC is something that I m a huge fan of. No other location in the world comes close in regards to the grand scale of what is NYC. Take Times Square for example, a world famous location filled with shops, cinemas and theatres.

Just knowing that several scenes of any film are shot in this location adds that extra feel of a real city and all that goes along with it.

Actor James Caan, who most recently was on the TV show Las Vegas, supports this cast. He has been a constant force on TV and the big screen for almost thirty years. Playing the pivotal role of Buddy’s father Walter, rounds out the cast.

Watching ELF you will be surprised by how funny this picture really is.
