Starring Jamie Bell, this film looks at how one young man can survive in the world after the death of his mother. Hallam will grieve in his own way with some interesting coping methods. Set in Edinburgh, there are some amazing shots of the city throughout the film.

Hallam is an interesting teenager; he has just suffered from the death of his mother and coming to terms with his father’s new lover. Verity has quickly become Hallam’s stepmother and he hates for this. To make matters worse he blames her entirely for the death of his mother.

Having had enough of living at home on his families beautiful wealthy estate he runs away from home to live in Edinburgh. Finding work in a nice hotel he has a chance meeting with Kate the lady who hired him. Hallam begins to show stalker like qualities as his obsession and lust for Kate grows.

This is a good film, very emotional but also very honest at the same time. The acting is very strong and the dialogue along with it. Hallam Foe was a hit at the 2007 Sydney Film Festival now you can see it on DVD.
