The dynamic duo of Kate and Leo reunite for the first time since Titanic in this very different film. Both talented actors, Revolutionary Road is a powerful and moving film about life in rural America in the 1950’s.

Frank and April Wheeler are an average couple trying to raise their two small children. April has always wanted to be an actress but failed after some years of trying and working in the theatre. Married young, April always wanted to live a exciting life away from the mundane American lifestyle during the 1950’s.

Frank works in a mediocre paying office job where he fits into the boys club and is popular with the ladies and co workers alike. On the surface this perfect couple seems to have it all and are building the American dream, but nothing is what is appears to be.

Fed up with living in the United States April insists that they move the family to Paris where she can support them and Frank can raise their two children. At first Frank is all for the idea but as problems around the couple start to grow Paris is looking more and more unlikely.

By a fluke Frank is offered a promotion at work and suddenly becomes the new golden boy of the company. Accepting the promotion he doesn’t tell his new boss that he is moving in a few months to Paris. When something unexpected happens to April serious cracks and strain appear in their once perfect marriage and reach boiling point.

Supporting cast included the brilliant Kathy Bates in an interesting role. If you are fan of either Leo or Kate there don’t miss this film, whatever you do.
