The Heartbreak Kid

The Heartbreak Kid is a modern day remake of the 1972 film of the same name, starring Cybill Sheppard. Ben Stiller and his real life father Jerry Stiller play a father and son team who have sex on both their minds, and will do anything to get it.
While the original film as certainly not as sexual as its remake, The Heartbreak Kid is rude, crude and will have you rolling around of the floor with laughter. Eddie Cantrow is a happy go lucky guy, who is unhappy in love, certainly not for his lack of trying. On a random afternoon he helps a young woman is has just had her bag stolen. Lila and Eddie have an amazing instant connection.
The bond that they share seems almost to good to be true. Within no time Eddie soon finds out that Lila has mislead him in every way about who she is and what her life is about. The horrible truth comes out when they are Honeymooning in the beautiful Carbo san Lucas. While trying to deal with a horrible situation Eddie meets the beautiful Miranda, who is on vacation with her family.
As Eddie tries to woo Miranda he omits to tell her that he is there with his wife. The craziness soon begins and the laugh come thick and fast, as you would expect from a Ben Stiller movie. I found this film to be a tad too long, but none the less it was still very funny and Stiller, as always gives a great performance.
