Lucy Lawless sure knows how to keep her fans wanting more, even 8 years after we last saw her appear on the small screen as the Warrior Princess. Since then she has been popping up all over the place, including a spot on popular sci-fi series Battlestar Gallactica.
Now, according to a small but intriguing post on her official fan site, the former Xena: Warrior Princess Actress will be showing her face in the hit lesbian drama The L Word during the show's final season. The teaser on her blog at LucyLawlessFanClub.com was very brief, but enough to excite her legions of dedicated fans.
“I’ve been off doing a role on CSI: Miami which airs around Oct. 20(?) I play a tart with no heart, for a change," Lawless said in the web site post.
"Also, look for me on The L Word at some point. Can’t tell you anything about that -- it’s deep in the closet.”
A gorgeous pun... and one automatically wonders whether it’s a possible clue to her character. Not something new for Lawless, as she has given clues in the past to the roles she'll be playing.
In an interview with the Bay Area Reporter, Lawless let loose a little more, saying that she doesn't know yet if she's going to be playing a lesbian. "They've sent me several scripts, and I haven't been through them all, which I must do soon," she said. Until then, lesbian fans will have to continue to imagine their favourite stars in compromising lesbian positions!
The fifth and final season of Showtime's hit drama The L Word begins airing in January. As GenQ reported earlier, a spin-off of The L word starring Leisha Hailey as Alice Pieszecki is in the planning stages, but no official airdate has yet been announced. Check out GenQ’s Youtube channel for some Alice clips.

Can't wait to see what kind of role she'll be playing (and hopefully she'll have a lot of screen time). Never thought she'd be on this show!! :o
