The successful Ghost Whisperer is back for a second season on DVD thanks to Walt Disney Home Entertainment. Shot in Los Angeles and starring Jennifer Love Hewitt this show is a winner well into its third season on television. Grandview is certainly an interesting place to live.

Picking up from the end of the first season Melinda Gordon is back. Still connected to the spirit world stronger than ever this season holds many twists and turns, along with some new characters. After the horrific plane crash at the end of season one and the loss of her best friend Andrea, Melinda is in turmoil.

Melinda knows why and how the plane crashed and is torn between helping the investigators and keeping her ability to talk with the dead a secret. Season two holds a much bigger story with as many surprises as the first. To replace Andrea we are introduced to single mother Delia banks played by the very talented Camryn Manheim best known for her work on The Practice. Jay Mohr also joins the cast as a professor specialising in the paranormal.

Delia becomes Melinda’s business partner and the two begin a close friendship. Delia also has a young son who by accident discovers Melinda’s gift. Another highlight of this season is that we also learn more about Melinda’s life and her past.

The second season is just as addictive and engaging as the first. Melinda continues to take on some interesting supernatural cases. From this each episode hinted at the big storyline in the battle between good and evil. This all leads up to the explosive season finale and setting the story for season three.
