VH1’s hit reality show The Surreal Life is now on DVD for the first time in Australia. Seven celebrities all live together in a multimillion dollar Hollywood Hills mansion. The cameras are on them twenty four seven and we see every details of their surreal life.

In the very first season we have MC Hammer, Vince Neil, Brande Roderick, Corey Feldman, Jerri Mantheny, Gabrielle Carteris and Emmanuel Lewis. Half of the people I have personally never heard of, but we soon get to know their history good, bad and some very ugly.

The highlights of season 1 are the show went to Las Vegas to film some episodes where Corey Feldman became the biggest drama queen in the house, to the point where some of the other members wanted him out of the house. This was due to a big fight in Vegas between him and Gabrielle Carteris. The series ended with Corey marrying his girlfriend.

Season two’s participants’ included Traci Bingham, Trishelle Cannatella, Erik Estrada, Tammy Faye Messner, Ron Jeremy, and Vanilla Ice. Gay icon Tammy Faye was hilarious to watch and without a doubt the most entertaining person in the house this season. Infamous talk show host Sally Jesse Raphael turns up later in the season and calls Trishelle a slut. The funniest moment is where Tammy Faye runs out of a nudist resort in tears. Vanilla Ice has some demons in his past, he resents the fact why he is famous and eveything that went along with the Ice Ice Baby fame rollercoaster.

Season three included Full House star Dave Coulier, Public Enemy star Flavor Flav, New Kid On The Block Jordan Knight, ex-Mrs. Sylvester Stallone Brigitte Nielsen, American Idol star Ryan Starr and Mrs. "Cuchi Cuchi" herself, Charo. The highlight of this season was the unlikely love affair between Flavor and Brigitte. This pair up was a huge event as it paved the way for many more reality shows featuring the crazy twosome. The most annoying this season was Jordan Knight who comes across as very moody and immature.
