A porn scandal, break-ups and lesbian loves, it's all in the Secret Life of the Veronicas..
Although they won’t make an official comment on the nature of their relationship, The Veronicas' Jess Origliasso and her girlfriend MTV VJ Ruby Rose enjoyed an intimate afternoon together yesterday and to those who witnessed it, love was in the air.
Despite Origliasso's diamonte-encrusted necklace that spelled ‘LOVE’ the pair have both reportedly come from fresh break-ups and hence such a suggested intensity is unlikely just yet. However the relationship which has developed between the dark-haired duo was eminent as they spent a few quiet hours together holding hands and chatting at a pub in Sydney's Paddington.
As the online porn scandal that rocked the band and it’s fans emerged over the last few days with The Veronicas intention to take legal action, Rose openly pledged her commitment to supporting the singer through this challenging period.
"Both Jess and Lisa have had an incredibly difficult week and without doubt I am talking to them and helping them out where I can," Rose told The Daily Telegraph yesterday.
"From the whole situation with the pictures to Lisa's break-up with Dean, I can't even imagine how they are coping with it all."
The photos of a naked Origliasso were splashed over US porn site Fleshbot.com last week after being leaked to a picture agency by an Australian.
It is now understood that The Veronicas' management at Warner Music has engaged a legal team to take action against an ex-lover of the singer over the sale of the saucy shots.
The series of four photographs, taken three years ago, has also been sold to two local gossip magazines.
"What has happened with those images is obviously completely illegal and there are lawyers getting involved," Rose said.
"It's just such an upsetting situation - there is a real tall poppy situation in Australia and both Jess and Lisa deserve more support, especially from their Australian fans."
The Veronicas will visit New Zealand this week for some interviews and publicity ahead of a trip to the US in time to release their hit album Hook Me Up in September, a trip it seems couldn’t have come at a better time.
