The Kyle & Jackie O show and GenerationQ are making the coming out process easier for all.
Kyle & Jackie O – Coming Out Day
Featured for the first time on the Austereo network this morning; Kyle & Jackie O introduced a segment called Coming Out Day through their morning breakfast show on the 2DayFM radio station in Sydney. The segment invites listeners to come out on radio, and to tell their unique story to the world.
While a push for Coming Out Day to be a national public holiday was humourously unsuccessful, listeners to the show now have an option of coming out publicly live on radio to loved ones and well as other listeners.

GenerationQ – Coming Out Support
For those that aren’t ready to share their sexuality with the world, or are after advice on how to come out, GenerationQ has recently established a coming out advice service.
Any visitor to the GenerationQ website is welcome to use the service (which is kept strictly confidential at all times, you can also choose to be anonymous) to discuss anything related with the coming out process.
The address for Coming Out advice is comingout@generationq.net
Over the coming weeks, Kyle & Jackie O will be regularly inviting listeners to come out, and GenerationQ will also be adding to their Coming Out section with features and tellings about emerging from that elusive closet.
The Kyle & Jackie Show can be heard each weekday on 2DayFM in Sydney from 6 – 9am; an Hour of Power is also broadcast in most major capital cities on your local Austereo radio station from 6 – 7 pm.
GenerationQ’s Coming Out section can be found here.
