The Reach Out! Road Trip launched in Brisbane today, covering four thousand kilometres in three weeks to promote youth awareness.
Five states, four Youth Ambassadors, three weeks; a road trip of a different kind launched in Brisbane today to promote awareness for a web-based service aimed to support and inspire those going through a rough time.
The Reach Out! Road Trip will travel four thousand kilometres, making stops in major capital cities as well as smaller stops along the way including Lismore, Newcastle and Wyong.
Spearheading the road trip is four of Reach Out’s Youth Ambassadors, all of whom donate their time on a regular basis to enhance and promote the youth-targeted website.
Support for the road trip has boomed in recent months, including a grant from the Foundation for Young Australians.
Events featured over the three week duration include barbecues, presentations as well as radio interviews while on location.
Reach Out! aims to improve the mental well being of young adults through support mediums and information that appeal to such an audience. Focus areas for the organization include sexuality and coming out, sex and pregnancy, eating disorders, depression and safety and violence.
