1989 –celebrates 18 years of international touring with their 2007 AUSTRALIAN 18th
ANNIVERSARY TOUR.
Björn Again’s 18th ANNIVERSARY TOUR – which coincides with ABBA 30th Anniversary since
they toured Australia in 1977 - has just kicked off with 2 incredible sellout shows at THE
SYDNEY OPERA HOUSE on July 28th and will see the band perform a string of major
concerts all around Australia.
An amazing success story since their first gig at THE TOTE in COLLINGWOOD on MAY 6th 1989.
Established in Melbourne in 1988 by 2 Melbourne engineers, Björn Again have become the
most successful tribute band of all time and one of Australia’s most popular musical exports,
having performed sellout tours in over 70 countries. Just last December, Björn Again were
VERY SPECIAL GUESTS at KYLIE MINOGUE’S New Year’s Eve concert at Wembley in
London. Björn Again have also met Benny and Björn of ABBA in Sweden and continue to be
happily endorsed by them.
Why the incredible success and huge global appeal? Well there is more to Björn Again than
a band pumping out ABBA’s hits, dressing up in platform shoes and flares and speaking in
‘Swenglish’. It’s no use describing it here – you need to be in the audience to really get it.
Sometimes it becomes an evening of working out popular music and culture and finally
acknowledging that ABBA were really that good. For some it is a wind back to their
childhood days, for others it’s a pure escape, but at the very least it is a heck of a lot of fun.
