Ellen DeGeneres has married her longtime girlfriend, actress Portia de Rossi in an intimate, private ceremony at their home Saturday night in Los Angeles.

As reported by People.com, the couple who have been together since 2004, were dressed by Zac Posen and exchanged rings by Neil Lane. DeGeneres, 50, wore white pants, a button-up shirt and a vest and De Rossi, 35, wore a backless, light pink dress and her hair pulled up loosely.

Among the 19 guests who witnessed the ceremony were both of the bride’s mothers, Betty and Margaret.

After the ruling by the California Supreme Court in favour of same-sex marriages in May, DeGeneres announced she would wed de Rossi and hence although a date was never made public, the wedding came as no surprise.

DeGeneres will share images and sequences from the special day on her daytime show, Ellen.
